Country Manor Campus hosts 4th of July Parade

for Residents

Sartell, MN- Country Manor Campus hosted Independence Day with a plethora of events and celebrations! Residents and tenants were invited to celebrate the 4th of July with an Antique Car Show, Fishing Excursion, Fireworks Display, Street Dance, and the crowd favorite… the annual campus wide parade!

With appearances from respected surrounding community members and organizations, elaborately decorated floats, impressive vehicles and machinery, giddy Kids Country children and a plethora of costumes and characters, the Country Manor 4th of July parade didn’t disappoint.

Residents, tenants and their guests waved their American flags proudly as the flag bearers from the

Sartell American Legion post 277, Boy Scout Troop 11, a 1941 Ford Weapons Carrier from the Rice Legion and the Freedom Flight trailer from VFW post 428 past.  The Sartell Fire Department and Sartell Police Department also joined the festivities for the day. Audience members cheered furiously at the St. Cloud Rox players, and held their hands out for candy for all the dancing miscellaneous characters like Elvis and Marilyn Monroe!

In true Country Manor Campus spirit, all departments contributed to the fun by creating flashy themed entries to entertain the residents and tenants they care for daily.  Champion Rehab performed an impressive “Marching Band” routine complete with baton twirling. The Nursing Department re-enacted short skits of “Superheros” coming to save us all. Social Workers received rounds of applause as they performed exemplary “parade” waves posing as “Dairy Princesses,” even including a human sized cow. The Culinary team dressed as “Fruities” while dancing about, and the ladies from the Salon showed their true Patriotic spirit with head-to-toe themed outfits while handing out freezies to cool down the crowd. The Maintenance Team executed some remarkable tricks on their machinery. Other sightings included a “Kickin’ Country Band” who performed patriotic tunes for the audience, “Christmas in July, “Haunted Hause,” “Just Married,” a state-renowned hoola-hooper, resident Veterans, Chaplain Jeb singing the day away, and Sophie, Country Manor’s Resident therapy pug. Antique cars sparkled in the sunlight as Country Manor’s very own cast of characters made their way around the parade route.  All brought smiles, laughter and cheers to the crowd as they made their way past handing out treats and hugs.

The 4th of July parade is just one of the many celebrations held at Country Manor Campus throughout the year. Country Manor staff cherish the opportunity to celebrate special events with residents, tenants and their families.
