TESTIMONIAL:
David Elliot
My 16 year old son was in a car accident, May 14th. He has serious brain injury and he needs regular therapy, rehabilitation and therapy. It was kinda hard to go around looking for homes for your 16 year old son, but we went to several of them and we ended up with coming here because we thought this met all of our criteria, what we wanted for our son and for ourselves.
It’s just great, the people, the staff, everything’s just wonderful. Just about everybody from the management on down to the gal that comes in and checks him at night. The therapists are wonderful, it’s one on one all the time. They did a great, great job.
I’m able to stay here with him which is nice. That was one of the things that we asked when we were interviewed here, if we could stay in the room. We’ve never left his side yet and uh they said yes. Two other ones said absolutely not. Matter of fact, they acted like they didn’t even want us there. But, I’m not driving up to a facility and dropping my 16 year old son off and walking away. When we got here that first day, they greeted us, they had the room ready for us. I mean you felt at home. You felt like there’s someone else out there helping you.
Instead of a number they call me by name. Everybody asks how Adam is doing. They see him walking and say “Great Job” you know. They're just like a family, it’s just great.
It’s wonderful, the people like I said are like family.
It’s just like everybody’s pullin for you, everybody’s behind
you, everybody’s helping you. There’s not one person in here that
hasn’t helped, tried to help us, or helped us. And I mean, that’s
from the bottom to the top. Even the laundry lady, everybody. It’s the little
things that a lot of people don’t look for and you don’t expect. But,
it’s really nice. And when you get thinking about it…and the home
part of it you know…it’s wonderful, it’s really wonderful. I’m
glad someone guided us this direction.
