Resident Specialist (NA/R) Classes

Here is your exciting opportunity to directly impact the quality of life for our residents. A resident specialist is the front-line caregiver providing services with respect and dignity. As part of a 75-hour state required training, you will learn how to care for a resident's total needs, including spiritual, social, diversional, recreational and nursing needs.
This job is for you if you are:
- 16 year of age
- able to work with peers, supervisors and residents in a cooperative, considerate and helpful manner
- able to effectively communicate with residents, families and personnel
- able to handle physical and/or verbal abuse from residents in an appropriate professional manner
- willing to learn caregiver techniques and problem-solving skills
- responsible
- able to be part of a team
- people oriented
- able to adapt in a fast paced environment
- able to develop relationships with residents and coworkers
